How do we do it?
NGG supports our architect and general contractor customers with a variety of approaches. Each project is unique and requires a unique solution to achieve success.
Installation
We begin each and every project with a Project Execution Plan. Our project managers understand the importance of planning for success. Planning sessions are held with senior management of the company throughout the life cycle of the project.
Fabrication
Many of our systems require a long lead time. For example less than 25 percent of a project schedule for a unitized curtain wall is in the field. Significantly more time is spent in design and planning for the fabrication phase in the factory. Generally, the more a project is factory fabricated the higher the quality of the final product and the faster the field installation.
Expectations
We use a number of installation approaches depending on site conditions and the priorities of the project team/customer. Some of our projects are unitized and others may be stick built in the field. Regardless of the approach we will work collaboratively with the project site management team to execute the installation in a method that supports the site requirements.
Quality Assurance
Quality begins early with project planning and is present in each phase of the project. To ensure that a high quality product arrives at the project site quality must be part of our process from the very beginning. In addition, all projects are performance tested using AAMA and ASTM standards during fabrication and installation by our in-house quality team. Our organization includes full time quality resources that support the project teams and collaborate with the customer to ensure that the best possible product is provided.
